What is your go to spring colour? Is it a palette of tried and tested light shades you go back to year after year? Or the colour of the moment as decreed by your favourite influencer or colour specialist Pantone (who declared Peach Fuzz to be the colour of 2024)? Or maybe the season has no bearing on your choice of colour. After months of cold weather and dark mornings, which somehow seem to get colder and darker every year, at the first ray of sickly pale British sunshine I can’t wait to bring out my spring nail shades. Enter Nail Kind, my go to brand for vegan and cruelty-free nail polish, with a flawless colour palette that never ceases to evolve. Literally every shade looks wearable. Their latest collection, Candy Couture, showcases three pastels, as easy to wear as the rest of their range. Hide those navies and burgundies and embrace a lighter shade.

Nailkind Nail Polish in Rose Delicious
The most classic
A pastel baby pink hue, I went matchy-matchy with this one and paired it with a super girly pale pink and sparkly frilled skirt. Yes it’s a bit much, but with a crisp white shirt and white trainers it can work – I think. Or you can play this candy shade safe with jeans and a blazer.

Nailkind Nail Polish in Eye Candy
The most wearable
A soft blue mixed with a hint of lavender and a touch of grey, Nailkind’s Eye Candy works with so many skin tones, seasons and outfits. A stronger statement than Rose Delicious, it draws attention without being shouty. This is probably my favourite out of the three, top marks for its wearability yet alternative shade.

Nailkind Nail Polish in Apple Crush
The most fun
It wears its name well: Apple Crush is a light, refreshing yet warm green colour. Its hint of yellow means it works well for yellow-toned skin (English roses, stick to the other two shades in this collection). A long wearing polish perfect for spring and into summer with the start of a tan.
