I’m very excited to offer this month’s natural, vegan and cruelty-free beauty subscription box from The Natural Beauty Box to one lucky winner. I discovered this beauty box via Instagram when some of the beauty bloggers I follow started posting about it. I love discovering emerging natural beauty brands and this seemed like the ideal box to do so. I reviewed some of the products featured in The Natural Beauty Box and discovered some lovely little gems in there, so I’m delighted to work with founder Emma again and trial another beautifully edited skincare box, which one lucky winner will get to discover too! To be in with a chance to win, read on (or head directly to my Instagram).
Discover The Natural Beauty Box
This beauty box subscription centres around natural, cruelty free and vegan beauty products. Each month the box is delivered to you containing 5 or 6 products, a mix of travel size and full size, with a promise of their worth reaching at least £50 – this one is worth £66. Products ranging from cleansers to serums, oils, scrubs and creams adhere to a monthly theme. This one is ‘skin-tritious’, described as ‘skincare bursting with vitamins, minerals and nutrients’. It’s also plastic-free, so every product included in this month’s box is packaged in glass jars or aluminium tins.
What you can win
Part of the thrill I get out of blogging comes from discovering new beauty brands and products, and sharing these gems with you. So before putting this natural beauty box up for a giveaway I’ve tested all five products from this month’s selection, to make sure they’re a prize worth winning. And because, as always, I just wanted an excuse to try new skincare.
Love Absolute Deep Ocean Facial Mud Bar
From solid shampoos to the classic soap bar, cleansing bars are having a moment thanks to their low carbon footprint, so I was delighted to try out my very first Facial Mud Bar. Beautifully presented in a tin (reusable once you peel off the labels) with dried flower petals on top, this full size 100% vegan multipurpose bar can be used on skin and hair. Don’t expect to be greeted with a pretty scent though as this smells very much of clay. There’s a pleasantly retro feeling about washing your face with a solid bar, minus the dry skin this used to result in, as I was left with clean refreshed skin.
Love Absolute Faux Lemon Vit C Serum
On first impressions this is the product I had the most reservations about. The glass bottle is covered in mismatched labels stuck on top of each other, possibly to add information that hadn’t been printed on the original label. I love an indie brand but not so keen on the hashed packaging, including a bottle protector cut out in a funny shape. And the product name: why use the word ‘faux’ when referring to lemons? Is it artificial fragrance? From what I understand the oil’s pronounced citrussy scent comes from the blend of organic essential oils without actually containing lemon. Which sounds a lot more appealing than fake lemon. Another oil to add to my ever growing collection, this one reduces redness and blemishes, leaving skin feeling super soft.
Maison Meunier Purifying Face Mask
This mask may contain dead sea mud and look like mud but it certainly doesn’t smell like it thanks to notes of rose and neroli. I’m not sure what’s happened to the brand’s website, some of the product pages seem to have gone AWOL, but the actual mask is easy to use and delivers such smooth skin I’m tempted to use it more often than the once a week recommended by The Natural Beauty Box.
Buff Kid Hand & Body Butter
I discovered this brand thanks to Rare Beauty when I reviewed Buff’s sustainable credentials and their lovely Mama Sea Salt Body Scrub, so I was pleased to find a tin of their Hand & Body Butter in The Natural Beauty Box. I was so keen to try the butter immediately that it took me a few attempts to figure out how to get into the tin. If I’d taken the time to read what was written on the packaging I could’ve figured out you just needed to press down on one side for the lid to click open – clever. With a delicious blend of essential oils including soothing lavender and calming mandarin, you only need a small amount of this ultra rich butter to keep your hands super nourished.
Niskama Skincare Nutrient Boost Daily Moisturiser
I received a little pot of Niskama’s Gentle Smoothing Face Polish in my last Natural Beauty Box and it ended up being my favourite product in the box, so I had high hopes for this Daily Moisturiser. It didn’t disappoint. Featuring a nourishing blend of evening primrose, green tea and olive squalane oils, the thick formula is suitable for all skin types and left my skin looking and feeling hydrated. Also, this moisturiser is the colour of mango ice cream and that makes me very happy.

I’ve subscribed to the Natural Beauty Box recently (the plastic-free version) and have received all these products this month but haven’t had a chance to test them out yet. Good to hear your thoughts about them! I will definitely make use of them all, the daily moisturiser sounds gorgeous. I have retweeted your competition tweet!

Hi Petra, it’s a lovely skincare edit isn’t it? There isn’t a product in there that I wouldn’t use – and typically in subscription boxes there’s at least one dud. Thank you for the retweet, hope you enjoy your Natural Beauty Box!
